Looser and less shirt-like than the shirt dress. A round neck, elbow-length sleeves with a soft flare, a bodice that drops to the hip and a gathered skirt from there to the mid-calf. Buttons run the full length so it opens flat, and there are patch pockets on the skirt big enough to be useful.
The gathered skirt uses a lot of cloth and the dress weighs about 600 g; it is not a light summer dress in the hand, although it is cool to wear. The olive dye softens by a shade over the first season.
